Lukulumo is a digital book service that provides read-aloud picture books for early childhood education and elementary school. The application offers books in Finnish and several additional languages, including Swedish, English, Albanian, Arabic, Somali, Russian, and Estonian. The books are divided into shelves based on themes and categories, and you can browse them easily. You can read the book yourself or turn on automatic page turning. You can continue reading from where you left off, and bookmark points of interest. Lukulumo also allows you to open books using QR codes and track the reader's voice in selected books. You can download books and find all downloaded books in one place.
The Reading Enchantment early education license also includes a guide to literary education that provides concrete tips for book discussions. The guide for early childhood education is conveniently available through the app. Lukulumo is available for use by kindergartens, preschools, family day nurses, and primary schools. The service content is based on whether it is used by an early childhood education unit or a primary school. In addition to Finnish, the service also offers books in several other languages, and the developers are continuously updating their selection with new books and languages.
